Hot Tub Removal

An old, broken hot tub is a massive eyesore that is impossible to move on your own. We safely disconnect, cut apart, and haul away above-ground hot tubs and spas. We reclaim your patio space so you can actually use it again.

Who It's For

Homeowners with a dead hot tub taking up deck space, or folks moving in who don't want the previous owner's spa.

The Process

  1. You ensure the tub is drained and the power is cut at the breaker.
  2. We arrive, assess the tub, and start dismantling the skirting.
  3. We use reciprocating saws to cut the heavy fiberglass shell into manageable pieces.
  4. We haul the pieces through the yard, load them, and sweep the deck.

What we review before the quote

We review the items, access, and any handling requirements before providing a free quote. There are no published prices or ranges.

Preparation

The hot tub must be completely drained of water. Crucially, it must be disconnected from power. If it is hardwired, a licensed electrician must disconnect the wiring before we cut.

Local Context

Many suburban homes in Union Township have aging deck spas that haven't run in years. We get them out without damaging the deck.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take the hot tub away in one piece?

Rarely. Hot tubs are extremely heavy and usually won't fit through a standard fence gate. We almost always cut them into smaller pieces on-site.

Do I need to drain the water first?

Yes. We cannot drain the tub for you. It must be completely empty before we arrive.

Will you unhook the electrical wiring?

No. We require that the power be completely disconnected at the breaker, and ideally by a professional, before we touch the tub.

Can you remove a hot tub that is sunk into a deck?

We can, but it requires significantly more labor and careful cutting to avoid damaging the surrounding deck structure.
